A magnificently-detailed map of the University of Durham, showing all of the college and university buildings, and the arms and mottos of each of the colleges.

The University is spread across the city, so much of the rest of Durham is depicted too, including the medieval bridges, the marketplace, Castle, and of course the World Heritage Durham Cathedral - often voted the nation's favourite, and which is the location for both University matriculation and graduation ceremonies.

The map was originally drawn by hand in 2011, and took me over 80 hours to create. I began with a detailed pencil sketch, then drew over using ink dip-pens with calligraphy and drawing nibs.

Here for sale are fine art prints of the fourth edition of my Durham University Map. This edition was updated in November 2019 to show the new South College at Mount Oswald, the new Maths & Computer Science building at Mountjoy, the new Teaching & Learning Centre, the Sport Centre expansion, and some new private student residences in the city.
 
This map is a perfect memento for anyone who has studied or worked at Durham University, and makes an ideal graduation gift.
