In 55 BC, Julius Caesar first landed in Kent, and following two centuries of shrewd diplomacy and brutal war, the Romans had established themselves in what is now England and Wales. This detailed map shows Roman Britain between 150 and 300 AD - the height of the Roman expansion. The map shows the Coloniae, major towns and forts, the primary roads, and also includes an inset map of Hadrian’s Wall, and the vexilla (banners) of the three main Roman Legions stationed in 'Provincia Britannia'.Here for sale are fine art prints of my Roman Britain Map. The original was drawn by hand in 2020-2021. I began with a detailed pencil sketch, then used dip-pens with various calligraphy and drawing nibs. For anyone fascinated by Roman history or archaeology, this is a must-have.
