The Whisky Map of Scotland features all the current single malt and grain distilleries in Scotland. It also includes known distilleries opening in the next few years, proposed new distilleries which are awaiting funding or planning permission, and distilleries that have closed since the 1960s, from which you might still come across a rare bottle.
Intricately-detailed, this map was originally drawn by hand in 2014. It took me 130 hours over four months to research, plan, and draw. I began with a pencil sketch, then used ink dip pens with calligraphy and drawing nibs. The fine lines shading the sea alone took 8 hours. Each line – less than 1mm apart – was drawn one at a time!
Here for sale are fine art prints of the Whisky Map. Currently on its 8th edition, the map was updated in November 2020 to include some recently-opened and new forthcoming and proposed distilleries.
The Whisky Map is my best-seller, and prints have been sold to over 40 countries around the world. It’s an absolute must-have for any Scotch enthusiast!
