Viking, Forties, Dogger, Fisher, Sole. The Shipping Forecast is a much-loved staple of BBC Radio and a unique part of British culture. Carefully recited to a highly technical formula, the forecast is almost poetic - but do you know where each area is?I drew my original Shipping Forecast Map in 2014. Beginning with a pencil sketch, I then used ink dip pens with calligraphy and drawing nibs. For this new second edition, the map has been enlarged, revised, and expanded. New additions include the Inshore Waters, the Beaufort Scale, maritime signal flags, and many new decorations.For anyone who loves the Forecast, or anything nautical, this map makes a lovely gift.
