A beautiful map of Yorkshire, showing the North, East, and West Ridings of the historic County before the 1972 boundary changes. It shows the major rivers, and over 80 cities, towns, villages, and historical sites such as medieval priories, castles, and manor houses. The map is embellished with iconic vistas of York and Whitby, and a cartouche with a brief history of the County. It's finished with a Yorkshire rose in the background.Here for sale are fine art prints of the Yorkshire Map. The original map was drawn by hand in 2017 on vellum, taking about three months to research, plan, and draw. I began with a pencil sketch, then used ink dip pens with calligraphy and drawing nibs.This map makes a perfect gift for anyone proud of their Yorkshire heritage!
