Meet the Maker - Lauren Young

What do you do?

Hi I’m Lauren and I’m an illustrator, I Primarily work with water colours, my work is influenced by

the County Durham and Northumberland countryside, my illustrations are vibrant, full of colour and detail.

As a lover of the stunning British countryside I know how important it is for us to protect our

Environment, because of this all of my products come from British suppliers, I stay away from

single use plastic, and use recycled packaging.

How did you get started?

I started off whilst I was at University doing small bits of commissioned illustration work and after graduating I didn't stop and expanded what I was doing.

Is this your full time job?

Yes!

Where do you create?

I create from my studio in Consett.

Tea or coffee?

Tea on a morning, but you can’t beat a good iced coffee
